Many unlikely companies have a legitimate green story to tell, take a hosting provider for example. With a single server a hosting company can save each of its clients enough energy annually to equate to the carbon footprint of a personal car. 500 clients = a carbon reduction of 500 cars taken off the road. Now that’s a story!

By the same token because consumers are now seeking green, many companies that don’t have a green story are trying to lay claim to one. It’s called greenwashing and it’s dangerous.

We want sustainable technologies to succeed and to do so they need a strong brand story. That’s the part we’re good at.

And what is Bracco HPF’s green profile you ask?

  • Bracco HPF is a member of The Sustainable Business Network of Washington (SBNOW), the American Solar Energy Society, Co-op America and Sustainable Loudoun.
  • We are consultants and work from our home offices. In terms of incremental energy it requires only the power to run the computers and lights in our office rooms.
  • To the extent possible we encourage our clients to meet via phone and internet conferencing to reduce the impact of commuting.
  • To the extent possible we work electronically and avoid the use of paper.
  • In our home we recycle and buy recycled.
